FAQs for Employers

HireMyMa is a specialist website (and mobile application) aimed at helping mothers find flexible employment to compliment their family life, and help employers find talented candidates that they may never have found otherwise.

We work to find the relevant companies who understand that there are hidden skills being underutilised. The employers that use us are fully aware of the needs and skills that our candidates hold and the responsibilities they currently have or have had. Employers will create an account to be able to post jobs and use the HR recruitment services, including arranging interviews, through the chat or video call application or face-to-face. They are also able to assign tasks to other members, plus many other HR recruitment services we have available.

When you first join HireMyMa, you will be prompted to create an account with a username and password

No need to download anything from the App stores, the application and website are all browser friendly. You do have the option to save this access login icon onto your phone and desktop.

If you decide to cancel your membership and paid by credit or debit card, log into your account, go to your profile, scroll to the bottom and select put account on-hold. Once on-hold you will have the option to keep the account on-hold for future use or email customercare@HireMyMa.com to cancel your membership.

If you signed up using PayPal, we advise you to log into your PayPal account and cancel your subscription there. If you have any problems, please use the Contact Us form and we will cancel your membership within 48 business hours. Cancellations do not entitle you to refunds for periods you are already enrolled in.

  1. Create an account https://www.HireMyMa.com/employers/join-now
  2. User your username and password to login
  3. Once logged in, on your homepage, tap the Post a Job
  4. Select location
  5. Upload logo or image you want to go with the job posting and follow the sections in order to complete the job details.
  6. Preview your post before it is posted
  7. Tap 'POST JOB' to post your job

Jobs submitted will typically be approved (or rejected) the same business day after being reviewed by our staff. Jobs posted on the weekends will be approved on the following Monday.

  1. On your homepage, tap the 'OPEN JOBS' plus icon
  2. Select the job you want to edit
  3. Tap the pencil edit icon in the top right
  4. A pencil edit icon will appear in all the sections
  5. Select the section you would like to edit
  6. Scroll down to the bottom to 'SAVE' the changes

You will need to wait for the changes to be approved.

  1. On your homepage, tap the 'OPEN JOBS' plus icon
  2. Select the job you want to remove
  3. Scroll down to the bottom
  4. You have the option 'PAUSE' or 'CLOSE'

This job will be moved into your paused or close section for you to reactivate when required.

If you haven't saved the HireMyMa icon to your phone's home screen or desktop; all you need to do is log back into the website and use the same username and passwords as before.

If you have forgotten your username and passwords then just click or tap the forgotten link and follow the promote notes. When you get access you will connect to your old account so you don't have to start over.

Once the job is filled, the employer can chose to pause or close the job.

We do not get involved in the payment process and do not earn a percentage or finder's fee of a candidate’s pay. This process is a direct communication between you and the candidate.

We cannot offer refunds because once a candidate has access, they are able to immediately view all jobs and projects available. If we were to offer refunds, it would open the door to unscrupulous individuals to login and take the required data and then leave.

HireMyMa was created for mothers looking for full-time, part-time, or project work. It is open to anyone from any sector or industry.

At the moment we are concentrating on our mothers as this is a bigger sector, which needs attention. This is not to say that we would restrict anyone from joining HireMyMa. We have future plans on developing our HireMyPa, which will be coming soon, so watch this space dads!

Candidates are able to upload their CV's, certificates, video profiles, set distance and best availability dates and times for them. Candidates can view, apply for jobs and request for an interview.

Candidates and Businesses can log into both the mobile or website application to see their account and notifications.

At HireMyMa we understand the perils of informing an employer that you have responsibilities, and the fear of rejection. At HireMyMa we take away that fear by finding employers who understand mothers needs.

We also understand that not charging will allow for countless candidates joining for free which may overshadow the number of jobs available.

Once you have found a job you are interested in all you need to do is to tap on the card to view the details and apply for this job, also you can save as “I’m interested in” by tapping the folder icon on the card.

HireMyMa does not have any part of the selection process, this will be between you and the employer. The employer require from you more information which you can send directly to them, through the App. HireMyMa is designed to be VERY user friendly, for you and the employer. It's quick, easy and efficient, with no middle man.

It depends on how active you are and the jobs which are available for your needs, the qualifications required for the position, how good your CV and references are, and also how well you interview and meet the expectations of the hiring employer.

We advise you actively pursuing not just one job post but multiple in order to maximize your chances of getting a job quickly. Devoting as much time as possible can to your job searches. Push yourself into finding the right job or project for you and your needs.

This process is a direct communication between you and the employer. You will both come to an agreement and exchange the relevant HR documentation and process. You are fully responsible for setting up acceptable payment methods. We advise you, just like any employment process you may go into, to check and research the company and person before you start working. You can use www.FaceBook.com, https://companycheck.co.uk, LinkedIn, etc.

Yes we do check out small to medium size companies (if listed) with https://companycheck.co.uk or LinkedIn, and or other similar checking sites. If we find any job to be any way offensive or objectionable, has an unacceptable record, it is not approved.

But, as with any job or project you may apply for, we strongly recommend candidates to also do their own research on the company and the person making the hiring. You can do this by doing an internet search to see if you find any positive or negative information, forums, message rooms, etc.
